Authorizing your development machine

To develop applications with the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java, you must authorize your development machine using your software authorization number, as described in the following steps. An active Esri Developer Network (EDN) subscription qualifies you for a development machine license (a software authorization number) for the software development kit (SDK).

Once your machine is authorized, you can build as many applications as you want and with any functionality the SDK provides. Authorizing your machine differs from licensing applications.

An EDN subscriber can install the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java on an unlimited number of machines as long as only the authorized EDN subscriber is the one using those computers for development use.

Steps:
  1. After you've installed the ArcGIS Runtime SDK, the Software Authorization Wizard opens automatically. You can also open it later by clicking, or Start ProgramsArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java 10.1.1 Runtime Tools Software Authorization Wizard 10.1.1.
