What's new in ArcPad 10.2.2
Key areas with improvement in ArcPad 10.2.2 are the RecordSet, photo workflows, check in, and synchronization with feature services. The projection support has been updated to match projections of ArcGIS 10.3.
ArcPad
- ArcGIS Online map services display without HTTP errors
- Option added to ArcPad to stop attempting to download tiles (desirable when offline)
- Features with z-values can be successfully synchronised with feature services
- AXF Timestamp is now being recorded in ArcPad in UTC
- ArcPad now prevents users from deleting a feature if it has related records
- No longer missing features when synchronised with feature services
Scripting
- Scripts that referenced the RecordSet that worked before 10.2, works again
- New records created using Recordset.AddNew now has the correct AXF_STATUS of 1 (created) instead of 256 (geometry modified)
- Columns populate with default values on Recordset.AddNew
- SQLCE scripting errors displayed when opening some AXF files have been resolved
ArcPad Data Manager
- Orphaned related records no longer stops ArcPad check-in
- ArcPad check-out creates an AXF that ensures related records are deleted before the parent feature can be deleted
- Hiding fields in ArcMap, no longer yields empty or unexpected fields during ArcPad check-out
- Creation of coded value domain duplicates inside the AXF is removed. In complex databases, this can significantly reduced the number of tables contained in the AXF, improving performance
- Deleted features that still have related records no longer halts check-in
- The Get Data from ArcPad wizard, ArcPad Check In tool, and IArcPadExchange component now each write the same information to the .axf.xml file
- ArcPad tools work can be executed outside of ArcMap
- Photo workflow can be used in stand-alone applications using the ArcPad Data Manager object model
- Photos are now copied to the specified folder when checking in an ArcPad AXF file originally created as Schema Only
Installation
- Russian language pack added to installer
- ArcPad Deployment Manager now runs as administrator, ensuring that ArcPad can be installed to devices
- Entering the registration code while ArcPad runs as administrator means that subsequent users that log on to the machine will not have to re-enter the registration code
