Checking in a template (Maritime Charting)

You must check a class or series template in to the product library when you are finished modifying it.

When you check in a product, you can choose whether to increase the minor version number for the MXD. If you choose to check the MXD in with a version number, it appears as a new version on the History pane of the properties. You can also choose to overwrite the current version of the MXD so the number does not increase.

Etapes :
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. If necessary, open the Product Library window by clicking Customize > Production > Product Library on the main menu.

  3. If necessary, expand Product Library and Products.
  4. Navigate to and right-click the class or series whose template you have modified and click one of the following:
    • Check In Class Template
    • Check In Series Template

    If conflicts are detected while you are checking in, the Resolve Conflicts dialog box appears.

    If there are no conflicts, the check in dialog box appears, and you can proceed to step 6.

  5. If necessary, choose an option for resolving the conflicts and click OK.
  6. Choose an option for versioning the .mxd.

    You can choose to renumber the version or overwrite the current version. The version history for a geodatabase is not tracked.

  7. If necessary, type a new value in the Major text box.
  8. If necessary, type a new value in the Minor text box.
  9. If necessary, type a new value in the Revision text box.
  10. If necessary, type a description of the changes you have made in the Comments text box.
  11. To keep the file checked out, check the Keep Checked Out check box.

    If this check box is checked, the product remains checked out and will not be checked in.

  12. If you do not want to keep a copy of the product on your machine, uncheck the Keep Local Copy check box.
  13. Click OK.

    If the product you are checking in was open in ArcMap, the New Document dialog box appears. If necessary, browse to another one you want to open and click OK to close the current one.

    The checking in dialog box appears with the progress of the check in.

  14. Click OK when the process completes.

The template .mxd is checked in.
