gp.ExportBoundariesAndVariables_TD("new layer", "Territories[1]", "C:/Temp/data.shp", "AREA_SUM;TOTPOP_CY_SUM" , "POLYGON")

The following stand-alone script demonstrates how to use the tool.

# Import system modules
import arcgisscripting

# Set local variables
solution = "new layer"
level = "Territories[1]"
featureclass = "C:/Temp/data.shp"
variables = "AREA_SUM;TOTPOP_CY_SUM"
geometry = "POLYGON"
