Remarks

Geoprocessing resources are typically added to a GeoprocessingResourceManager, either at design time or by code at runtime. These resources are accessible at runtime via the GeoprocessingResource object for the specific resource. Geoprocessing resources define the source (ResourceDefinition) that provides the data for the map.

Connections to ArcGIS Server may be either via a Web service connection using HTTP (known as an "Internet connection"), or via a connection over a local network using DCOM (known as a "local connection"). The GeoprocessingResourceInternet represents an Internet connection, whereas GeoprocessingResourceLocal represents a local connection. Both classes extend GeoprocessingResourceBase, from which they derive most of their properties.
