Prerequisites for ArcGIS 10.1 for Server
The following prerequisites must be met before you deploy Data Appliance 5.1 for ArcGIS to your GIS server:
- You must
have ArcGIS 10.1 for Server or higher installed, configured, and running with the latest service packs installed. If ArcGIS 10.1 for Server or higher is not running or if you have problems with the
installation, see Installing ArcGIS 10.1 for Server for Windows or Installing ArcGIS 10.1 for Server for Linux.
Note:
If you are not planning to upgrade to ArcGIS 10.1 for Server and are using 10, please refer to the instructions for Deploying on ArcGIS Server 10.
- North America and Europe geocoding and routing services from Data Appliance 5.0 for ArcGIS are no longer included as part of the Data Appliance 5.1 for ArcGIS release. If you are using North America and Europe geocoding and routing services from Data Appliance 5.0 for ArcGIS or an earlier Data Appliance version, you need to migrate to Street Map Premium for ArcGIS for your regions of interest prior to upgrading to Data Appliance 5.1 for ArcGIS.
- Additionally, if you were using the World Places Locator from the Data Appliance 5.0 for ArcGIS or an earlier Data Appliance version, you need to upgrade to the World Places Locator that shipped with the Data Appliance 5.1 for ArcGIS on a separate DVD before you proceed with these deployment instructions.
