Removing extensions from the product library or production database (Maritime Charting)
A product library or production database can support one or more Mapping and Charting solutions. For example, if you have both ArcGIS for Maritime:Charting and ArcGIS for Aviation:Charting installed in your machine, you can have a product library or production database that contains the schema of both extensions. If you have a product library or production database that doesn’t need to have a schema of a specific Mapping and Charting solution, you can remove it from your product library or production database with the Remove Extensions command.
This process can’t be undone and it is not possible for an extension to be added to the geodatabase later. Extensions can only be added when the product library or production database is created.
You need to be the schema owner for an ArcSDE database or have write/delete permissions for a file or personal geodatabase since you need permissions to delete tables.
- Start ArcMap.
- On the menu bar, click Customize > Production > Product Library.提示:
If the Product Library command is not enabled, you may need to enable the Production Mapping extension by clicking Customize > Extensions and checking the check box for Production Mapping.
提示:You can also open the window by clicking the Product Library button on the Production Cartography or Production Editing toolbar.
-
Right-click on the product library or production database and click Configure > Remove Extensions.
The Remove Product Library Extensions or Remove Production Database Extensions dialog box appears.
- Check the check box for the extension you want to remove.
- Click OK.
The Confirm Remove Extensions dialog box appears warning you that the operation can’t be undone and recommends that you have a backup before continuing.
- Click OK.
The Removing Product Library Extensions or Removing Production Database Extensions progress dialog box appears.
- Click OK when the process completes.
The selected extensions are removed for the geodatabase. You can view the connection information if you hover over the geodatabase or on the Product Library Properties or Production Properties dialog box.
