Deleting coordinates (Aviation)

The coordinates in the Feature Builder window can be deleted or cleared using several methods. They allow you to clear the current values for required coordinates and delete other coordinates that have been added for functions such as Polygon (Simple) and Polyline (Simple).

  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the menu bar, click Customize > Toolbars > Production Feature Builder.
  3. Click the Feature Builder button Feature Builder on the Production Feature Builder toolbar.

    The Feature Builder window appears.

The Feature Builder window can be placed anywhere in ArcMap, or in the Table Of Contents window, with the aid of the arrows showing the possible placement positions.

  4. In the Coordinates area, click the Input tab, if it is not showing already.
  5. Click inside the Input tab in the Coordinates area and do one of the following to delete and clear coordinate values:

To clear the value for a single coordinate

Press the DELETE key to reset all the coordinate values to zero (0).

To delete an optional coordinate row for a function

Press the SHIFT and DELETE keys on your keyboard at the same time.

This can only be used with the Polygon (Simple) and Polyline (Simple) functions since they are the only ones with optional coordinates.

To delete all non-required coordinates and clear values for required coordinates

Click the Clears The Input Coordinates tool Clears the input coordinates at the top of the Feature Builder window.
