An overview of the Features toolset
The Features toolset contains tools that allow you create and verify Esri Defense Mapping product specification requirements. You can also export feature classes within those products to shapefiles.
Tool |
Description |
---|---|
Calculates the geometric position coordinates for points, lines, and polygons. |
|
Replaces null values in a feature class or table with the default values from the data model. |
|
Converts hydrographic polygon features into individual polyline centerlines. This tool is used by the Esri Defense Mapping solution to create polyline hydrographic features at scales where a polygon feature is inappropriate or not useful. It produces an approximate centerline from input polygons. This centerline serves as a polyline representation of the original polygon feature. | |
The Geospatial Analysis Integrity Tool (GAIT) validates data against a data model. GAIT checks geometry, feature codes, attribute values and domains, and metadata. The tool writes its results as line and point shapefiles to an output directory. GAIT can execute against data in MGCP, GIFD, TDS, and VMap data models. | |
Compares feature classes and tables in a test geodatabase to those in a base geodatabase. This tool also performs an enhanced field comparison between objects in the base and test geodatabases. Results of the comparison are written to an output log file. | |
Exports one or more feature classes in a geodatabase to shapefiles. | |
Esri Defense Mapping cartographic production tool that smooths sharp angles and corners to improve feature display. This tool uses a Defense Mapping-specific algorithm to perform its feature modifications. |
