Creating a desktop S-57 product by importing an existing cell (Maritime Charting)
With ArcGIS for Maritime: Charting, all S-57 products are created through the New Nautical Product wizard. This wizard is accessed from the series level in the Product Library tree view and can be used by those with Administrator, Edit, or Check In/Check Out product library permissions.
The wizard performs the following actions in a desktop production environment:
- Creates the product and instance levels in the Product Library tree view
- Writes the metadata entries to the Nautical Metadata table注意:
If the Postpone Database Creation check box is checked, the process will only perform the two actions above.
- Creates the production database
- Versions and archives the necessary database items
- Imports S-57 data into the production database if necessary
