Importing DAFIF sources (Defense Mapping)
The Ancillary Source Loader imports features from various National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) sources into feature classes in a geodatabase.
On the DAFIF CD-ROM provided by NGA, there are 16 directories that contain shapefiles you can load using the Ancillary Source Loader. You can load all DAFIF features or only those that fall within a minimum bounding rectangle that is defined by lower-left and upper-right coordinates.
Data can be loaded for airports, airport facilities, ATS routes, boundaries, heliports, special use areas (SUAs), off route terrain clearance altitude (ORTCA), TRM, PAPP, supplemental data, runways, military training routes, parachute jumping areas, navigation aids, and waypoints.
The feature classes can be created in a new or existing geodatabase.
