Disabling a rule

The Rules tab related to a diagram template lists all the rules specified for that diagram template. Each line in this list corresponds to a specified rule whose parameters can be edited at any time. Any specified rule can be removed from the list, but its execution may also be simply turned off so it doesn't execute anymore during schematic diagram generation/update. This disabling is done within Schematic Dataset Editor on the Rules tab related to the schematic diagram template.

Etapes :
  1. Edit your schematic dataset within Schematic Dataset Editor.
  2. If the schematic dataset resources are not arranged in a tree view in the Schematic Items window, click Views on the Schematic Dataset Editor toolbar and click Project Tree.
  3. In the Dataset Editor tree, click the entry related to the schematic diagram template where the rule you want to disable is specified.
  4. Click the Rules tab.
  5. Select the line corresponding to the rule you want to disable.
  6. Uncheck the Active check box in the line.
  7. Click Save Save icon on the Schematic Dataset Editor toolbar.

After a rule is disabled, it is not executed anymore, but the parameters set for that rule are kept and the rule can be enabled again at any time. To enable its execution again, you only need to check the Active check box.

Rule disabling is automatically taken into account for any newly generated schematic diagram. But for schematic diagrams that were generated before this change, the diagram contents don't reflect the change. These diagrams must be updated so all rules specified on the related schematic diagram template are reexecuted and the diagram contents take this disabling into account.
