Adding the Schematics toolbars to ArcMap
To work with schematic tools in ArcMap, you must first add the following Schematics toolbars:
- Schematic
- Schematic Editor
- Schematic Network Analyst
These toolbars allow you to do the following:
- Create schematic diagrams from the schematic diagram templates you created in your schematic datasets.
- Highlight any schematic feature related to an ArcMap feature in the active schematic diagram and vice versa.
- Lay out your schematic diagrams using the standard layout algorithms (Hierarchical, Main Ring, Orthogonal, and so on).
- Detect loops, paths, and trees from the active schematic diagram.
- Refine your schematic diagrams using the available set of refinement tools (symbol and label size adjustment, node alignment, removal or adding of vertices, and so on).
Pasos:
- Click Customize in ArcMap and point to Customize Mode.
-
Check the check box related to the Schematics toolbar—Schematic, Schematic Editor, or Schematic Network Analyst—that you want to add.
The toolbar appears, floating in the ArcMap window.
- Repeat step 2 for each toolbar you want to add.
If the Schematic, Schematic Editor, or Schematic Network Analyst toolbar appears in ArcMap with most of its buttons unavailable, you'll need to verify that Schematics is currently licensed for Básico, Estándar, or Avanzado, and enable the Schematics extension.
