- How long will my subscription last? Your subscription will expire 1 year from the date of activation.
- Which reports are in the Basic subscription? A list of basic reports can be found in the comparison table.
- Which reports are in the Standard subscription? A list of standard reports can be found in the comparison table.
- I'm running ArcGIS Desktop 9.3.1. What does this error mean? The Community Analyst Add-in uses the Add-in technology introduced with ArcGIS Desktop 10. Therefore, the Add-in does not work with versions of ArcGIS Desktop prior to 10.
- Why can't I see the reports I created through the Community Analyst Add-In in my subscription to the Community Analyst web application? The Community Analyst Add-In is not a report sharing tool. Reports that are created and run from the add-in are not available in the Community Analyst web application and vice versa.
- I ran the same report through the Community Analyst Add-In and then through the Community Analyst web application for my boundary and the data on the reports don't match. Why? In cases where a boundary is considered a complex polygon (has more than 10,000 points that define the shape), then the Community Analyst Add-In generalizes, or reduces, the amount of points that define the boundary. This causes the shape to be slightly different and, as a result, the data to be slightly different.
- How many reports can I run at one time? You can run reports and append data for up to 100 features/boundaries at one time. If you want to run more than 100 reports, you must run them in groups of 100.
- Why is the Executive Summary Profile report not available in Excel format? This report has not been formatted for display in that format.
- What does "Download report data to boundary layer" option do? This option allows you to append data that you see in the report as attributes to the boundary layer in ArcGIS for Desktop, allowing use of the data in other ArcGIS mapping processes and workflows.
- How many variables can be added to my boundary layer? Data variables from one report can be added as attributes to the boundary layer. If you want to add more, you must run one report at a time.
- How many times can you run a report and append that data back to the boundary layer? You can add data to a boundary layer as many times as you like. However, duplicate data may be added as attributes to the boundary layer.
- How long are my reports stored in 'Previous Results'? Report history is cleared hourly. We recommend that you save reports locally by selecting the option in Preferences to "Automatically download reports to:" and selecting your local directory.
