Minimum System Requirements—Desktop
Your computer must meet minimum system requirements to install ArcGIS Workflow Manager extension for Desktop.
ArcGIS Workflow Manager extension for Desktop requires ArcGIS 10.1 for Desktop with the Standard or Advanced license level.ArcGIS Workflow Manager extension for Desktop has the same system requirements as ArcGIS for Desktop.
Database Requirement
The Workflow Manager system requires an ArcSDE geodatabase to support the central jobs repository. Any of the RDBMS types supported by ArcSDE can be used.

Minimum System Requirements—Server
Your computer must meet these minimum system requirements to install ArcGIS Workflow Manager extension for Server.
ArcGIS Workflow Manager extension for Server requires ArcGIS for Server to be installed. ArcGIS for Server must be installed with .NET Extension Support enabled. If you installed ArcGIS for Server without .NET Extension support, you must install the correct Microsoft .NET Framework version and then enable it by modifying your ArcGIS for Server installation.
