Deploying a streetmap dataset for routing

If you include the Route task in your project, deploy the streetmap dataset separately from the project to the field devices. When your field crew runs the task, the application uses the dataset to generate point-to-point directions.

To deploy the streetmap dataset for routing, copy the dataset's entire folder to a folder on the field device. This folder is referenced by the Streetmap Dataset Folder setting. You can also copy the folder to a network drive or a shared location on the network, but this is not a recommended practice.
