Synchronization settings

The synchronization setting allows you to set how the field applications automatically upload edits to the back-end database. You can configure the applications to automatically upload edits when the device is connected to the Internet, whenever data changes, or at a regular time interval.

Auto Upload Option

Meaning

Never

Synchronization does not occur automatically when using this option

When Connected/when Cradled

Pushes updates back to server once a connection is established.

When data changes

Pushes updates back as soon as you save the change in a connected environment

Time Interval

Allows for sending uploads back to the server in time increments.

NoteNote:

The synchronization setting is project specific and is only available to the projects which contain operational data from a mobile service or mobile services.
