Standard installation
Minimum requirements:

Included files
ArcGISSilverlightViewer3_3_x64.exe—The installation program for version 3.3 of the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight on 64-bit operating systems.
ArcGISSilverlightViewer3_3_x86.exe—The installation program for version 3.3 of the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight on 32-bit operating systems.
ArcGISExtensibility3_3_x86.exe—The installation program for the ArcGIS Extensibility SDK for Silverlight features including an integrated Visual Studio project template. This component is not required unless you want to extend the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight with custom functionality.
Install the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight
- Double-click the appropriate installation program (x86 or x64) to begin the installation. The Welcome page of the Install dialog box appears. Click Next to continue.
- Read the End User License Agreement (EULA). If you agree to the EULA, click I accept the license agreement, then click Next.
- The Prerequisite Check area verifies that your operating system contains the required components. If the check succeeds, click Next. Otherwise, click the Online help link to review the system requirements for your operating system.
- Type a name in the Name field and select a website from the Web Site drop-down list, or accept the defaults in the Application Builder and Deployed Viewer Applications installation directories and websites. The values sepcified here determine where the Application Builder website will be hosted, and where Viewer applications created with the Application Builder will be deployed to. Then click Next.
- The setup program is now ready to install the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight. Review the specified installation options to ensure they are as desired. Click Install to continue.

Note:If you are installing on Windows XP 32-bit (x86), it is possible that the system's configuration will prevent the ASPNET permissions from being set properly. When this is the case, it will interfere with saving Viewer applications from the Application Builder. Install the ArcGIS Extensibility SDK for Silverlight
You only need to install the ArcGIS Extensibility SDK for Silverlight if you want to develop custom functionality by creating add-ins (for more information, see Extending the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight). You do not need to install the software development kit (SDK) to configure a Viewer application through the Application Builder.
Caution:Before installing version 3.3 of the ArcGIS Extensibility SDK, you must uninstall any previously installed version.
- Double-click the ArcGISExtensibility.exe file to begin the installation. The Welcome page of the Install dialog box appears. Click Next to continue.
- Read the End User License Agreement (EULA). If you agree to the EULA, click I accept the license agreement, then click Next.
- Specify the folder in which to install the Extensibility SDK assemblies. Then click Next.
- If you wish to install the ArcGIS API for Silverlight in addition to the Extensibility SDK, leave the Install ArcGIS API for Silverlight check box checked. You should install the API if it is not already installed on the machine. Otherwise, uncheck the check box. Then click Install.
