Esri Roads and Highways 10.2 for Desktop quick-start guide
Esri Roads and Highways 10.2 for Desktop software includes several software components. For access to complete Esri Roads and Highways for Desktop functionality, install all software components.
The following software components with individual setups are included:
- Esri Roads and Highways
- Esri Production Mapping (includes ArcGIS Data Reviewer functionality)
- ArcGIS Workflow Manager
Getting started
- Prior to installing, ArcGIS 10.2 for Desktop must be installed.
- Administrative privileges are required.
- If you have an older version of Roads and Highways on the system, it will need to be uninstalled.
- If the setup does not automatically start, run setup.exe.
- For detailed information on system requirements and installation, click Install Guide on the setup to open the Esri Roads and Highways for Desktop installation guide.
- Refer to the Esri Production Mapping and ArcGIS Workflow Manager for Desktop components for installation information.
Obtaining software authorization
Each of the Roads and Highways for Desktop components must be authorized for use. The table below explains which license features are included with each solution.

If you are authorizing Roads and Highways for the first time or are upgrading from 10.0, your account's primary maintenance contact can obtain authorization numbers for each feature from the Customer Care site. Use the authorization number to add the features to your License Manager or ArcGIS Administrator. See the ArcGIS 10.2.1 installation guide for information on authorizing and reviewing Concurrent Use and Single Use features.
