Mapping and Charting Solutions 10.2 quick start guide
The Mapping and Charting Solutions contains a single setup program that includes several software products. During installation, you can install the products for which you have licenses.
The following software products are included:
- ArcGIS for Aviation: Airports
- ArcGIS for Aviation: Charting
- ArcGIS for Maritime: Bathymetry
- ArcGIS for Maritime: Charting
- Esri Defense Mapping
- Esri Production Mapping
Getting started
- Prior to installing, ArcGIS 10.2 for Desktop must be installed.
- Administrative privileges are required.
- The Mapping and Charting Solutions 10.2 setup is designed to upgrade an existing installation of Mapping and Charting Solutions 10.1 and 10.2. See the installation guide for more information on installation upgrades, new installations, or installations over versions previous to 10.1.
- If the setup does not automatically start, run setup.exe.
- For detailed information on system requirements and installation, click Help on the setup to open the Mapping and Charting Solutions install guide.Note:
ArcGIS Data Reviewer for Desktop functionality is installed with Esri Production Mapping, while the ArcGIS Workflow Manager for Desktop setup can be found with the ArcGIS for Desktop setup.
Obtaining software authorization
Each of the Mapping and Charting Solutions must be authorized for use. The table below explains which license features are included with each solution.

If you are upgrading from 10.1, the License Manager (for Concurrent Use) and ArcGIS Administrator (for Single Use) settings are retained.
If you are authorizing a Mapping and Charting Solutions for the first time or are upgrading from a version previous to 10.1, your account's primary maintenance contact can obtain authorization numbers for each feature from the Customer Care site. Use the authorization number to add the features to your License Manager or ArcGIS Administrator. See the ArcGIS 10.2.1 installation guide for information on authorizing and reviewing Concurrent Use and Single Use features.
