ArcReader quick start guide
Getting started
- Prior to installation, review the ArcReader system requirements.
- Administrative privileges are required for installing ArcReader.
- The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required for installing ArcReader. The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 can be downloaded from Microsoft. On Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 must be installed using Windows Features.
- IMPORTANT: Software patches are required before using ArcGIS 10.2.2. Patch details and downloads are available here.
Upgrading to ArcGIS 10.2.2
The ArcGIS 10.2.2 setup package is designed to detect and upgrade an existing installation of the same ArcGIS 10.1 (including Service Pack 1 [SP1]), 10.2 or 10.2.1 product. The setting for the installation location is retained in the upgrade. If you are installing ArcGIS 10.2.2 over versions previous to ArcGIS 10.1, those versions must be uninstalled before ArcGIS 10.2.2 can be installed. The ArcGIS 10.2.2 setup program will guide you through the installation process.
