Select Feature By Override (Cartography)

Summary

Selects features that have representation geometry and/or property overrides.

Usage

• Input Features must be a layer whose source is a geodatabase feature class with at least one feature class representation.

• The output is a selected set, so the results can only be used in models, scripts, and in ArcMap sessions.

• Representation geometry overrides are sometimes called representation shape overrides.

Syntax

SelectFeatureByOverride_cartography (in_features, {select_option})

Parameter	Explanation	Data Type
in_features	The input feature layer containing representations.	Layer
select_option (Optional)	Specifies the type of representation override to use as a selection criterion. BOTH —Select features that have either representation geometry or property overrides. This is the default. GEOMETRY_OVERRIDE —Select all features that have representation geometry overrides. REPRESENTATION_PROPERTY_OVERRIDE —Select all features that have representation property overrides.	String
