The interactive TIN Editing toolbar
The TIN Editing toolbar contains a collection of tools for editing TIN surfaces. The interactive TIN Editing toolbar is designed to work in ArcMap only. The TIN editing tools allow you to directly add, remove, or modify TIN nodes, breaklines, or polygons. These tools provide real-time surface feedback, which permits you to save your edits directly back to that TIN or create a copy of the edited TIN.
For more information on TIN surfaces, see: What is a TIN surface?.
For more information on editing capabilities for TIN surfaces, see: Fundamentals of editing TIN surfaces.
Interactive TIN Editing toolbar drop-down menu
Start Editing TIN |
Allows you to start a TIN edit session. The TIN that is to be edited must be the selected layer in the Choose Surface Layer drop-down menu on the 3D Analyst toolbar. The TIN Editing interactive tools will not be available until an edit session has been started. |
Stop Editing TIN |
Allows you to stop a TIN edit session. |
Save |
Saves surface changes as you edit. |
Save As |
Saves a copy of the TIN surface with the most current edits. |
Undo Since Last Save |
Removes the last edit commands since the TIN was last saved. |
Set to Constrained Delaunay |
A constrained Delaunay triangulation method follows Delaunay rules everywhere except along breaklines. Use this parameter to set a TIN to a constrained Delaunay triangulation method. When you set a TIN to a constrained Delaunay triangulation method, then you save the TIN, you cannot set the triangulation back to a conforming Delaunay triangulation method. The TIN has been changed to adhere to a constrained Delaunay triangulation permanently. If you have not saved the TIN as a constrained Delaunay triangulation, then use the Undo Since Last Save to set the TIN back to a conforming Delaunay triangulation method. Any edits that you have completed on the TIN will be lost. When a constrained Delaunay TIN is in a TIN edit session the Set to Constrained Delaunay will be disabled because the TIN is already using a constrained Delaunay triangulation method. |
Integrates a linear feature to a TIN surface model and modifies the TIN so that the area around the feature has been edited based on the Grade From Centerline parameters. |
