Using supported GML application schemas
The Data Interoperability extension includes out-of-the-box support for several widely used GML application schemas including:
- Ordnance Survey MasterMap for Great Britain
- Top10 GML for the Netherlands—also known as Top10NL
- Electronic Submission Framework (ESF) for the British of Columbia Ministry of Forests
To use them you must install the Data Interoperability extension and purchase a license, then enable the extension in the desktop application. After enabling the extension you can use interoperability connections to add the GML features to maps and use them with geoprocessing tools. You can also use conversion tools in the Data Interoperability toolbox to convert them to other supported formats.
The following steps describe how to add an Interoperability Connection for supported GML application schemas.
Steps
- In a Catalog window, expand the Interoperability Connections folder.
- Double-click Add Interoperability Connection.
- Click the Format browse (ellipsis) button to open the FME Reader Gallery.
- Type gml in the Search text box to list the supported GML application schemas.
- Choose the requisite GML reader and click OK.
- Click the Dataset browse (ellipsis) button and choose a GML dataset.
- Click OK to close the Interoperability Connection dialog box.
