An overview of the Bathymetry toolbox

The Bathymetry toolbox contains tools that allow you to convert data in a bathymetric information system (BIS) to other formats. These tools allow you to extract depth features from a BIS composite surface or convert them to ASCII.

Toolset/Tool	Description
Depth Conversions	The Depth Conversions toolset lets you export Bathymetric Information System (BIS) depth features to ASCII. This allows you to use the depths data in non-GIS systems.
Extracting Depths	This toolset lets you extract points sampled from a Bathymetric Attributed Grid (BAG). The points are written to a feature class.
Extract Depths To ASCII	Extracts depths from a surface model stored in a BIS workspace and converts depths to an ASCII file. This model allows you to share your depths with non-Esri software packages. This model runs Extract Depths and Depths To ASCII to create an output feature class and ASCII file.
