Renaming a schematic folder

Steps:

1. Start ArcCatalog.
2. Click the schematic folder you want to rename in the Catalog tree.
   • Click File and click Rename.
   • Alternatively, right-click the desired schematic folder and click Rename.
3. Type the new name.
   Caution:

   Schematics enforces the uniqueness of the schematic folder name regarding

   • The name of its schematic dataset
   • The names of all the schematic folders that already exist at the same level in the schematic dataset
   • The names of all the schematic diagrams that already exist at the same level in the schematic dataset

   For example, in the following situation, the New Folder schematic folder cannot be renamed ElecDemo, since this is the schematic dataset name. Its name cannot be Feeders or Inside Plants, since those names are already used for other schematic folders at the same level. Also, it cannot be renamed Test, since this name already corresponds to a schematic diagram stored at the same level.

4. Press ENTER.
