Essential Landscape Modeler vocabulary

The following are terms and definitions that are specific to Landscape Modeler.

Class

The class indicates the level or importance you assign a particular trait that can be found in a layer. For instance, if you are assigning weights to a layer for devlopmental risk, you would assign higher weights to none and low-risk areas and lower weights to moderate to very high-risk areas.

Model

In Landscape Modeler, a model is a combination of the layers and the settings that have been configured. These settings include the layers used in the model as well as the weights assigned to the classes and the layers. The color ramp and transparency settings are also part of the model.
