Running a model

Models can be run using the values that have currently been assigned to the layers and the classes, or you can run a model that has been saved.

Running a model using current values

After the model has been defined on the Design Model pane, you can immediately run it and view the results in the map.

Steps:
  1. If necessary, click Design Model.

The properties for designing a model appear.

  2. Define weights for the layers and classes.
  3. Click Run Model.

The model results appear in the map, using the color scheme indicated by the color ramp.

Running a model that has been saved

You can run models that have been saved by signing into ArcGIS Online.

Steps:
  1. Click Load Model.

The Load Model dialog box appears.

  2. Optionally click the Category drop-down arrow and choose a category to filter the list of models.
  3. Click the name of the model to run in the Load Model dialog box.

Only one model can be run at a time.

  4. Click Load and Run selected Model.

The model results appear in the map, using the color scheme saved with the model. The Design Model properties are also updated, with the layers and weights saved with the model.
