How to interpret model results

Model results can be symbolized using several different color ramps. There are nine different color ramps available, along with their inverted versions. You can view the name of a color ramp by hovering over Low or High for a color ramp in the list.

Viewing the color ramp name

The default color ramp displays the areas with the highest suitability in green and the areas with highest risk in red. This is useful for depicting risk. The other color ramp displays areas with high risk in red and high potential in green. This color ramp is used for indicating an area's potential. Both represent medium suitability with a yellow color.

Below is an example of a model run using the green-to-red color ramp, which is the default. Since most of the areas have high suitability or low risk, the map mostly appears green.

The map below shows model results displayed using the default color ramp. The red-to-green color ramp displays the areas with low suitability or high risk in red, so the map appears mostly red, with some areas of green and orange.
