Postinstallation: Setting Windows 7 or Vista properties to support ArcGIS for Maritime: Charting users in a 32-bit operating system

If you will be using the ArcGIS for Maritime: Charting with a 32-bit Windows operating system, some Windows properties need to be modified to increase the amount of virtual memory available.

Steps:

1. Click the Start menu and navigate to Accessories > Command Prompt.
2. Right-click on Command Prompt and click Run as administrator.

   The Administrator: Command Prompt dialog box appears.

3. Type bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072 in the command prompt.

4. Open Windows Explorer.
5. Click ENTER in the command prompt.
6. Restart the system to enable the changes.
