Windows Server 2012 IIS requirements

The ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 Web Adaptor (IIS) installation process on the Windows Server 2012 operating system requires specific components of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) to be installed. Steps to add Web Server (IIS) role services on Windows Server 2012

1. Click Start > Server Manager > Add roles and features > Next > Next > Next.
2. Enable the Web Server (IIS) role.
3. Click Next > Next > Next.
4. On the Role Services dialog box, verify that the web server components listed below are turned on.
5. After enabling the required IIS components, complete the instructions on screen.
