System requirements

Your computer must meet these minimum system requirements to install ArcGIS for Desktop. For additional and updated requirements, see the System requirements page.

.NET Support

ArcGIS for Desktop requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 3.5 SP1. If .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is not detected on your machine, the ArcGIS for Desktop setup will not proceed.

Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0

Setup.exe is a setup bootstrapper executable that will automatically install msxml6 if it is not already installed and then run the setup.msi.
