Installing ArcGIS Data Reviewer for Desktop silently
ArcGIS Data Reviewer extension for Desktop can be installed without a user interface (UI) by running the setup using Windows Installer command line parameters. To run the Windows Installer with command line parameters, you execute msiexec.exe from the command line.
Requirements
- Windows Installer version 3.1 must be installed and running on your machine prior to running the ArcGIS for Desktop setup silently.
- All previous versions must be uninstalled before you proceed with the silent installation. See Uninstalling previous versions of ArcGIS Data Reviewer for more information.
ArcGIS for Desktop installation command line parameters
The following are explanations of the parameters in the Windows Installer (msiexec.exe) command:
Parameter | Description |

Path to installer | The path to the setup.msi file. |
Method | /qb, which provides a basic UI with a progress bar and error handling |
How to perform a silent installation of Data Reviewer
The following is an example that uses the msiexec command to perform a silent installation:
msiexec /i c:\ArcGIS_Data_Reviewer\setup.msi /qb
