Mosaic dataset design

For each data collection, you’ll want to create a source mosaic dataset. For single collections (use case A or B), the following section regarding source mosaic datasets provides the basic workflow, with the optional addition of caching.

If your data includes multiple collections (use case C), it is recommended to follow the source/derived/referenced model for mosaic dataset design, as described in the Standard Workflow. You’ll create a source mosaic dataset for each collection and then combine them into a single derived mosaic dataset for ease of management and sharing.
