Adding a new ArcGIS Online basemap service

Steps:

1. Tap the arrow below the Add Layer(s) button.
2. Tap Add Data from Server.
3. Click the drop-down list and choose the URL http://services.arcgisonline.com.

4. Tap the service to which you want to connect.
5. Tap OK.
6. Navigate to the location where you want to save the file and tap Save.
7. ArcPad prompts if you want to add the service to your current project. Tap Yes to add it. If you tap No, you can add it later with the Add Layer(s) tool.
