System requirements for Windows

Your Windows computer must meet the following minimum system requirements before you can install ArcPad:

Processor	PC-Intel 750 MHz (or higher)
Operating system	Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10
RAM	512 MB
Free disk space	Approximately 192 MB
ArcGIS Desktop	ArcView, ArcEditor, or ArcInfo 9.3 or later is required to use the ArcPad Data Manager for ArcGIS.
ArcGIS Server	ArcGIS Server Enterprise Advanced Edition 9.3 or 10.0 (.NET) is required to use the ArcGIS Server ArcPad extension. ArcGIS Server 10.0 or later is required to synchronize with feature services.
Desktop synchronization software (if you intend to install ArcPad on a Windows Mobile device)	Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 or later (for Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 or later (for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10)
Microsoft XML (MSXML) Parser	MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2

You can include the following components at your option:

Python	The Python language is typically installed with ArcGIS Desktop. For more information, see http://www.python.org/.
PyWin	PyWin is typically installed manually. When choosing an install of PyWin, ensure the version matches your install version of the Python language. For example, ArcGIS 10.0 installs Python 2.6, ArcGIS 10.2 installs Python 2.7. For more information, see http://sourceforge.net/projects/pywin32/.
