Known limitations

Data tables are represented as point feature tables in ArcMap and ArcCatalog

This is a known limitation of the Esri Plug-In Datasource API and is common for all FME readers. If your ArcPad AXF file contains data tables, it's recommend that you use any of the following methods to import your data for use in ArcMap or ArcCatalog:

  • FME Interoperability Quick Import tool for ArcGIS
  • FME Quick Translator
  • FME Workbench

Empty feature tables are not imported

This is a known limitation of FME. If you import your ArcPad AXF file into a geodatabase, feature tables that contain no data will not be imported.

Relationship classes are not imported

If your ArcPad AXF file contains feature tables with related tables, both the feature table and the data tables will be imported with the ArcPad AXF Reader. The relationship class will not.

Subtypes and domains are not imported

If you import your ArcPad AXF file into a geodatabase, subtypes and domains will not be created.
