Deploy to Mobile Device

The Deploy to Mobile Device tool allows you to deploy any Windows CAB file to your mobile device that is connected to your PC. You can use this tool to deploy a CAB file containing compressed ArcPad data or an application such as the ArcPad installation CAB. You can also use this tool in a model to deploy a complete solution containing ArcPad application and data. When you select this tool, the following dialog box opens:

Click the folder icon to browse to the location of the CAB file.

Note:

To deploy ArcPad data checked out from ArcGIS for Desktop, check the Create ready to deploy .CAB file containing the ArcPad data check box when using the Get Data for ArcPad wizard in ArcMap.

When you click OK, the CAB file is installed as shown in the following screen shot:

When the installation is complete, the wizard asks to perform additional steps on the mobile device if required.

Check your mobile device for additional steps.
