Overview of defining complex symbology in ArcPad
The Symbol Properties dialog box is used to define complex symbology in ArcPad. From the Styles page, you can select from an extensive list of point, line, or polygon (fill) symbols. ArcPad enables you to select a symbol but you cannot change the properties of a complex symbol in ArcPad.
Complex symbols are imported into ArcPad via the ArcPad Data Manager for ArcGIS Desktop. By default, ArcPad includes the text, marker, line, and polygon symbols from the ESRI Style sheet.
Displaying symbol properties: You can also display the Symbol Properties dialog box by tapping on a symbol from the Symbology page of the Layer Properties dialog box, or from the Symbology page of the Feature Properties dialog box.
