TipTip:

Disabling modules or extensions that you do not use can conserve device memory. This is particularly useful when running ArcPad on a Windows Mobile device.

In ArcPad 8 onwards, some of the less-used extensions are turned off by default on Windows Mobile only. These extensions are:

  • BMP
  • CADRG
  • Earthmate
  • GIF
  • Laser Rangefinder (all of them)
  • MrSID
  • PLGR
  • PNG
  • TSIP

To turn these extensions on (or turn any other extensions off) check (or uncheck) the check box next to the extension you want to turn on or off, and restart ArcPad.
