Change the appearance of the ToolbarControl

Purpose
This sample demonstrates the visual effects of changing the appearance properties of the ToolbarControl. The ToolbarControl is used in conjunction with the GlobeControl and control commands. The ToolbarControl can do the following:
  • Display vertically within a container form
  • Display with background colors and a fill style
  • Display hidden items on a "hidden items menu"

How to use

See How to use ArcGIS samples for help on compiling, setting up the debugger, and running the sample. If the sample has associated data, you will find that the sample's zip file includes a "data" folder alongside the language folders. However, you will need to update the sample to point to the location of the data once you have extracted all the files.

  1. Use the controls to change the orientation and background properties of the ToolbarControl.
  2. Optionally, use the commands on the ToolbarControl to load a globe document (*.3dd) into the GlobeControl and navigate around its display.
