Project a point with ProjectEx

Purpose
This sample demonstrates how to project a point using the ProjectEx method on IGeometry2. If the input and output spatial references use different geographic coordinate systems (GCS), a geographic (datum) transformation must be defined. The Project method on IGeometry does not support geographic transformations.

How to use

See How to use ArcGIS samples for help on running the sample. If the sample has associated data, you will find that the sample's zip file includes a "data" folder alongside the language folders. However, you will need to update the sample to point to the location of the data once you have extracted all the files.

  1. Run the application.
  2. Examine the output.
