Enabling SOE using ArcGIS Server Manager
- Log into Manager. Ensure that your SOE is already deployed. For instructions on how to deploy an SOE, please see the “Deploying and Un-deploying SOEs” topic.
- Edit the map service you’d like to enable your SOE on.
- Click “Capabilities” and verify that your newly deployed SOE is listed as a capability. In the following screen shot, the Edit Features SOE is a custom SOE.
- Click the check box next to your SOE.
- Provide new values to SOE’s properties, if required.
- Click “Save and Restart”.
- Verify that your map service has successfully started.
Your SOE is now enabled on your map service. To verify that the SOE is accessible, edit the map service and click on the SOE. If your SOE is a REST SOE, its Services Directory URL will be displayed in the URLs section. Click the link to verify that SOE is accessible. If your SOE is a SOAP SOE, the URL to it’s WSDL will be displayed in the URLs section. Click this link to verify the SOE’s WSDL is accessible.
Disabling SOE using ArcGIS Server Manager
- Log into Manager.
- Edit the map service you’d like to enable your SOE on.
- Click “Capabilities” and verify that your SOE is listed as a capability.
- Uncheck the check box next to your SOE.
- Click “Save and Restart”.
- Verify that your map service has successfully started.
Your SOE is now disabled on your map service. Verify that your SOE is disabled by trying to access it via Services Directory (for REST SOEs) and WSDL (for SOAP SOEs).
