IMapFrame.ExtentType Property

The way in which the map extent of the frame is specified.

  Type is a parameter of type esriExtentTypeEnum

Remarks

The ExtentType property is used to set or retrieve the method used to specify the extent of the map within the frame.  There are three valid extent types that can be used:

• esriExtentBounds - Manually specify the X,Y coordinates of the extent.
• esriExtentDefault - The extent of the frame is equal to the extent of the map within the frame.
• esriExtentScale - The extent of the frame is calculated to preserve the specified scale.
