Enhancements in ArcGIS Explorer Desktop build 1750

Enhancements and improvements that were made for ArcGIS Explorer Desktop (build 1750) include

  • GPS receiver location and geotagged photo location have been corrected for non-English locales that use a comma character in place of a decimal character.
  • SDE connection passwords are stored in the map by default.
  • Pop-up multilayer windows include information about the layer that includes the clicked item.
  • ArcGIS Explorer Desktop shows busy cursor when waiting for pop-up information to return.
  • Information from a joined layer is displayed in the pop-up windows.
  • Find functionality stops searching when there is no match found.
  • Map transformations are correctly applied when creating map content, viewing KML, and geotagging photos.
  • 2D view displays map services coming from an ArcGIS Server with reverse proxy or virtualized configurations.
  • Rasters from ArcSDE no longer cause failure when clicking on the tools tab.
  • GPS receiver shows options dialog when no device is detected.
  • In 2D view, "Go to" zooms to a proper envelope; "zoomed to" features are not cut off in the display.
  • GeoRSS feed pop-up information has been enhanced to show better information.
  • Support for uploading KML to ArcGIS Online has been added.
  • MapTips for feature layers are displayed when turned on.
  • ArcGIS Explorer Desktop has been updated to support current ArcGIS Online web maps.
  • Measure point latitude and longitude position is formatted correctly.
