Joining the group

Looking for 10.3 or Pro content?

Documentation and other resources for this ArcGIS capability can be accessed from http://desktop.arcgis.com, a new site focused on ArcGIS for Desktop users. In about three weeks we will begin redirecting to that page. Documentation for 10.2x and earlier releases will continue to be accessible.

Don't wait. Begin exploring now!

You don't need to join the Analysis and Geoprocessing Tool Gallery group in order to search and download its contents. But if you want to share your items with the group, you have to join the group. It's easy—all you need is an account.

Create an ArcGIS Online account

If you don't already have an account, browse to www.arcgis.com/home. In the upper right, click the SIGN IN button. The Sign In page gives you three options for creating an account.

  • 30-DAY FREE TRIAL: This allows you to set up an online mapping portal for your organization.
  • REGISTER YOUR ESRI GLOBAL ACDCOUNT: If you already have an Esri Global Account, you can register it and create an account.
  • CREATE A PUBLIC ACCOUNT: Anyone can create a public account that allows you to create, store, and manage maps, apps, and data, and share them with others. You also get access to content shared by Esri and GIS users around the world. Public accounts are for noncommercial use only and there's a limit on how much you can store.

Joining the group

After signing in to ArcGIS Online, find the Analysis and Geoprocessing Tool Gallery as described in Find, search, and download. After navigating to the group, click the JOIN THIS GROUP link found in the upper right.

After clicking the JOIN THIS GROUP link, a request is sent to the owners of the gallery (ArcGISTeamAnalysis). The request has to be accepted by the group owner before you can share your content to the gallery. We (ArcGISTeamAnalysis) check for membership requests often (usually every workday), and we accept any and all membership requests. You will receive a notification when your request has been accepted. The number of notications you have appears next to your name at the top of the site. Click the number to view your group request messages.
