Installing ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 Workflow Manager for Server

ArcGIS 10.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Workflow Manager for Server is provided as a setup program and is executed through a utility called Setup.exe. With the SP1 setup, you can do one of the following:

  • Upgrade an existing machine running ArcGIS 10.1 Workflow Manager to SP1.
  • Install ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 Workflow Manager for Server on its own. There is no need to install ArcGIS 10.1 Workflow Manager for Server and then apply SP1. To do this, run the SP1 Setup.exe and follow the steps in Installing ArcGIS Workflow Manager extension for Server.
Steps:
  1. Upgrade to ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for Server.
  2. Start the ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 Workflow Manager for Server setup program.
  3. Click Next on the Welcome to the ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 Workflow Manager for Server Setup Program panel of the installation wizard.

    The License Agreement dialog box appears.

  4. Review the license agreement and accept it, or exit if you do not agree with the terms.
  5. Click Next.

    The Ready to Install the Program dialog box appears.

  6. Click Install to begin the installation.

    Once the installation has finished, the InstallShield Wizard Completed dialog box appears.

  7. Click Finish.
    • Check the Launch Software Authorization Wizard check box to open the Software Authorization wizard.
    • Uncheck the Launch Software Authorization Wizard check box to complete installation.
  8. Restart the ArcGIS for Server service.
    1. Click the Windows Start menu.
    2. Type Services.msc in the run line.

      A list of Microsoft Windows services is displayed.

    3. Scroll and search for the ArcGIS Server service name.
    4. Select and right-click the service and click Restart.
