Logging Real-Time Data with Client Data Logger

Client Data Logger allows you to log your real-time data to CSV files for archiving or scenario playback using Tracking Simulator.

Steps:
  1. Enter the correct Server and Port number for your Tracking Server.

  2. Click Connect.

After the connection to Tracking Server is made, the list of available services appears in the Select Services list.

  3. Click on the service that you want to log to checkmark the service in the Select Services list.
  4. Click Subscribe to Selected to subscribe to the service.

If the real-time service is generating features, you will see the features listed in the List Messages list box.

  5. Click the ... button in the Log Messages section to browse to a folder where you want your CSV files to be logged. Select a folder location and click OK.

The location you entered appears in the Folder text box.

  6. Enter a name for the log file in the Name text box.

After the Folder and Name text boxes are populated, the Log to CSV files check box becomes enabled.

  7. Check the Log to CSV files check box to begin logging features to CSV files.

You can pause the logging at any time by clicking the Pause button, and then resume by clicking Resume. You can also specify how often you would like to create a new file by specifying the feature count.
