  • Optional add-ons: Informix Excalibur Text Search (ETX) DataBlade Module 1.31.FC1**

CautionCaution:
*The error "392: SYSTEM ERROR - UNEXPECTED NULL POINTER ENCOUNTERED." may occur. A UNION ALL view folding enhancement was included in these releases. As a result of this enhancement, the UNION ALL gets folded but the other part of the view is improperly materialized when there is a group by and aggregation in the view definition. See http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IT03431 for more information.

NoteNote:

**ArcGIS 10.2 requires that your INFORMIX geodatabase be configured to support ArcSDE XML columns. ArcSDE XML column support is enabled by either the Informix Basic Text Search (BTS) DataBlade Module (provided with the IDS 11 server) or the optional Informix Excalibur Text Search (ETX) DataBlade Module.

NoteNote:

*** 32 bit applications, such as ArcGIS Desktop, require the 32 bit version of the Informix client (3.70.TC4). 64 bit applications such as ArcGIS Server require the 64 bit version of the Informix client (3.70.FC4).

Operating system limitations

Linux

  • ArcSDE application server is only supported on Linux x86_64, on CPUs that adhere to the x86_64 architecture (64-bit), with supported Linux releases.

Windows

  • Windows 7 64-bit is supported for basic ArcSDE application server testing and application development use only. It is not recommended for deployment in a production environment.

Software required to connect to a DBMS

Your client machine (for example, the one running ArcMap) will need to have the appropriate client files installed for the RDBMS you are using. These client files are available from their respective RDBMS vendors, but they are also available on Esri Customer Care Portal as a convenience. See Database clients for more information. RDBMS client files available from the customer care portal are IBM DB2, IBM Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Client files for IBM Netezza, Oracle and Teradata are not available on the customer care portal and must be obtained from the IBM, Oracle and Teradata support sites.
