Choosing the data frame to manage

LegacyLegacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

With map sheets you can potentially have more than one data frame, so you can choose which data frame manager to apply all of your changes.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
  3. Click the Show Data Frame Manager Properties button Show Data Frame Manager Properties on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

The Data Frame Managers dialog box appears.

    Data Frame Manager dialog box
  4. Click to choose a data frame manager .
  5. Click Properties.

The Data Frame Manager Properties dialog box appears.

  6. Click the Data Frame Manager tab.
    Data Frame Manager tab
  7. Click the Select Data Frame to Manage drop-down arrow and choose a data frame from which to add data frame manager properties.
  8. If you do not want to show the data outside of the area of interest, check the Clip To Shape check box.
  9. If you want to recenter the map on the area of interest, check the Recenter Map on Area Of Interest check box.
    NoteNote:

The Recenter Map on Area Of Interest check box is checked by default. If you do not want the AOI to be centered in your data frame as, for example, in an overview diagram, you must uncheck this check box.

  10. Click OK.
